Examination Center - Now Open
The Training Center doors open for candidates to book and take their IC3, MOS, MCAS and soon to arrive MCAP exams. Candidates can call and arrange to take thier exams anytime between Mon-Fri 08:30 - 21:00hrs and 09:30 - 16:00hrs Saturday. Exams purchased through F-Keys include an optional pre-test. All other exams will require the payment of a £15.00 procturing fee per attendance.

F-Keys Ltd - Platinum Learning Partner
F-Keys Ltd is now a registered Prodigy Platinum Learning Partner offering Walk-In Exam facilities for MOS (Microsoft Office Specialist), MCAS (Microsoft Certtified Application Specialist), and the soon to be available MCAP (Microsoft Certified Application Professional). In due course we shall also be offering the respective courses at the Training Centre. Anyone wishing to purchase the Self Learning Kits or attend support workshops should contact our offices for more information.

January 2008

New Hardware and Software (Vista and Office 2007)
Over the next few months the Training Suite will begin to have a new range of Hardware and Software installed to accomodate and be ready for the gradual uptake of Vista and Office 2007 applications. With this comes our investment in 22" Wide Screen Flat Monitors enabling candidates to clearly view the applications they are using. Once installed we believe that no where else currently provides such an ideal IT learning environment with so much deskspace.

Microsoft Office 2007
Microsoft Office 2007 courses are is now being developed in preperation for course delivery and also for our own staff to commence individual development and association with the software. This software is by far the most exciting software to be released by Microsoft and we are all personally excited about learning and developing our own knowledge of the amazing new functions and features.

Training Centre Feedback and Develpment
The F-Keys Training Centre located on Medway City Estate Rochester Kent is proving to be a great success with ample deskspace, easy parking and scenic views of the boats going up and down the River Medway.

General Purpose Meeting/Training Room for Hire
F-Keys are scheduled to take over the rear half of the floor at the end of May expanding the Medway City Estate Office by two Offices and a General purpose Meeting/Training room which will be available for hire by other Trainers, Organisations and Companies at very reasonable prices. Kent Ecademy Club Offline Network
The first 2007 Kent Ecademy Club offline meeting was well attended and the February event scheduled for the 21 February is already looking as if it will be a very positive and well attended event. The focus will be on developing a strong understanding of fellow members professions and skills enabling all members to be better equipped and knowledgeable about each others skill and expertise in order to network more effectively and efficiently for each other. Chamber of Commerce
In January F-Keys became members of the North Kent Chamber of Commerce consisting of Kent Thameside, Medway and Swale areas.

Emagine Programme:
The emagine programme delivered by F-Keys was an outstanding success with all of the attending students leaving highly positive feedback and wishing they could have more practical hands on experience to take them further. Due to the enthusiasm and commitment of some of the students F-Keys has agreed to schedule a number of one day practical workshops to be run in the new year where students can build on the knowledge gained for a minimal fee.

eKent Exhibition:
Our attendance at the exhibition proved a very popular event with Alex carrying out a number of Microsoft Office Tips, Tricks and demonstration where even those who thought they new how to use the various applications commented and left with new functions and things to try back at the office.

Emagine Programme

 

F-Keys have been awarded the tender to supply a number of 3 hour training workshops under the Emagine Programme. Sessions include: Email, Messaging and Communication, Surfs Up, Building a Website, EBAY, Digital Images and a Nuts and Bolts. New Training Suite Server (July 2006)

 

Looking to the future and the pending forthcoming release of some exciting new software from Microsoft we have our new server hardware and software system being installed at our training suite.

The trainers at F-Keys are looking forward to expanding and mastering the new technologies and benefits of the new Microsoft technology which shortly to be released. We would also like to thank those clients that have volunteered in assisting us in testing, and applying some of the collaborative features.

 

Online Poker Training!!!

 

A most surprising training request was completed by Alex Waterton on the 11th June 2006 in Liverpool, when F-Keys Ltd were requested to deliver a totally bespoke course in how to access and play online poker. This was delivered to five lovely ladies from the Bedazzled Model Agency based in Liverpool for CheekyMoon Entertainment. The ladies were also required to learn and understand the rules and basics of Texas Hold’em Poker and acting as Dealer for future CheekyMoon promotional events – so you may want to look out for these stunning card dealing ladies.

New Training Suite

F-Keys Ltd are pleased to announce that in association with Ability Technology Ltd they are now able to offer an even wider range of software training opportunities, for businesses and individuals throughout Kent and the London area. This is due to the launch of their new and exciting IT Training Suite located on Medway City Estate in Rochester Kent from January 2006

The training suite will allow clients to arrange for individuals or small groups of staff to attend standard, customised or fully bespoke courses to learn and develop new or existing IT software skills essentially required in today’s workplace environment.

Courses will initially and primarily be the well-known business applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access, Visio and various other Office applications and utilities associated with Microsoft. As always courses can and will continue to be arranged for individuals and business who wish training to be exclusively developed and/or supplied on a more personal basis.

The training suite will also allow other more general courses and software applications to be developed and offered in the very near future such as, ‘Responsible IT Procedures in the Workplace’, ‘File Management and Networks’, ‘Online Networking for Business People’, ‘Prince II’, ‘Act’, ‘Sage’ and ‘Photoshop’ to mention a few.

Kent Learning Showcase Exhibition
Many thanks for all those that came to see us at the Kent Learning Showcase event which took place on Thursday 30th June 2005 at the Ashford International Hotel & Conference Centre in Ashford Kent. We had a wonderful day and it was proudly completed by the F-Keys stand being awarded the "Best Stand" of the Exhibition award. To which we would like to personally thank DB Design for their efforts in assisting us with the show stand, the staff and amenities of the hotel who were very helpful and considerate, the event organisers and the staff of F-Keys who manned the stand from start to finish.  Jo White, Hiran DeSilva and Alex Waterton.

The F-Keys Draw for the Magnum of Champagne was won by Paula Elliott of Pitman Training Centre, Lloyds Bank Chambers, Market Square Dover Kent.  Well done Paula and many thanks to all who entered.

Charities Aid Foundation - 2004-2005
We would like to congratulate all the staff at the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) based at Kings Hill, and the Sharing and Caring Centre from Canterbury who have attended and completed training courses throughout 2004-2005. We look forward to training and meeting new and already aquainted staff thoughout 2005-2006. Well done everyone and thank you for your valuable and constructive feedback and many kind words.

Alex is currently working hard preparing the materials to enable him to deliver valuable assistance to this great on-line networking community. Based on the May 6, 2005 Microsoft Office Specialist Master Instructors Directory we are proud to have working for us 3 out of the 5 Microsoft Office XP Master Instructors for the Kent area. Thats a staggering 60% of the total throughout the Kent area.
